Tour also includes trips to several unique cities in Ghana: Accra, Kumasi, Cape Coast and Elmina with excursions to several towns and villages including Bonwire, the village famous for the production of Kente cloth (where tour members will observe native weavers as they work on looms to produce the traditional cloth of kings); tour members will visit the wood carving village at Ahwiaa, outside of Kumasi and mingle among the stalls of native craftsmen who sit and carve and then offer their handiwork for sale. While in Kumasi tour members will visit Manhyia Palace, the traditional home of the Asantehene, king of all the Asante and the most powerful chief in Ghana. Tours
also include a walking tour of Elmina fishing village, which allows tour
members the opportunity to interact with the villagers. While in the Central
Region, tour members will visit the slave castles of Cape Coast, Elmina
and Fort St. Jago. Tour members will have the opportunity to visit some
of the most beautiful beaches in Africa including the breath taking Coconut
Grove beach in Elmina.Tours include accommodations; entertainment; ground
transportation and some mealThe tour also includes round trip transfers
from Ghana's Kotoka International airport to the hotel in Ghana.An
Air Conditioned tour bus will transport tour members to all tour sites.
